The dems will continue to show their lack of support for our President and anything he tries to achieve during this war against terror. The libs will support Iran's ability to enrich...after all, thats what they stand for, right?? Freedom to do whatever the h*ll you want regardless of consequence??

Iran will do what we do when the UN does something we don't like-they'll just ignore them. And I haven't heard one Democrat complain about any diplomatic moves to resolve this issue.Do you even know what the Democratic position is on this issue,or do you just want to post a question that you hope will bait some Democrats in to going off so you can report them to Yahoo?
And as for the outcome of the sanctions against Iran, they won't accomplish much.Because China and Russia, with whom Iran does most of their international business, have said they're not abide by them.

Well Israel is not complying with UN resolutions from 1967,it's actually ignoring more then 70 resolutions and yet no sanctions...Iran is not complying with one resolution...that as far as I am concerned shouldn't have been voted...It's stupid to ask Iran to give up something they have every right to...They signed the NNPT ,so as long as no one could prove that they are really building nukes no one has the right to ask them to stop the nuclear activities...
I hope there are not going to be any more sanctions, because it won't help...they will have the opposite effect:Iran won't stop uranium enrichment...

They will not comply with the UN Resolutions. I think UN Resolutions is an oxymoron. What has been the last thing the UN has successfully resolved? The democrats will want more talks with Iran and nothing will change. We will probably be "talking" with Iran up until the day they develop the bomb.

No and why should they.
Israel and the US ignore the UN.
Iran has said it will stop its nuclear activities when all other countries do the same. I agree with them.
Sanctions don't work. They simply harden the enemy. The sanctions will be broken by countries like China and Russia. China depends on oil from iran. If Iran says it will only accept weapons or technology as payment for that oil what do you think China will do?

They won't comply, they've already said they won't comply until all nations stop their nuclear activities and until the Western countries deal with them in a fair manner. The US and its allies are just trying to bully Iran and there is no reason for it. There is no reason to sanction Iran they aren't any more rogue then the Bush administration and they are in charge of thousands of nukes. The sanctions will get imposed, Iran won't listen. The 2008 elections will come Bush will be out then we can deal with Iran in a manner that is not threatening.

The UN is a spineless organization. Nothing will happen, they will pass another non-binding resolution, promise sanctions and keep doing this until they blow something up, then the world will sit up and take notice. Remember, you can't spell eunuch with out UN.

Iran will nothing. This morning on NPR, the news was talking about this and pointing out that more and more people have been protesting Ahmadinejad because of hi sfailed domestic economic policies that have resulted in record unemployment.
They also pointed out that like any politician in trouble, he switched the topic a few years ago from his economic problems to nuclear enrichment, which was more uniting. There is even talk of impeachment.
The conclusion of the report was that sometimes the best way to influence regime change is to LEAVE IT ALONE and let INTERNAL politics sort itself out.
Why is that the only country in the World to use nuclear weapons, killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people wants to dictate WHO else can have nuclear weapons? If Israel, Pakistan and India can has too, then so can Iran.
Oh my bad, Pakistan is an "ally" of the US - even though the Al Qaeda camps are growing in the tribal regions.

Hell no!!!! The UN has no back bone. Nothing will be done even when Iran starts testing there A-bomb. Ultimately it will be up to Israel to take out there atomic research.

Nothing will come of it. The UN has a stellar record of imposing sanctions and not enforcing them.
