It's never too soon or too late. Just make sure it's the correct decision you both want. Divorce is not an easy task.. do think twice...

I'm having regrets after knowing him for 4 years and married for 1 year... so... time doesn't matter i guess. :)

I don't think so. My husband and I discussed marriage 2 months after we met. We waited to get married just because of logistics of planning a wedding we really wanted. I would strongly suggest in-depth pre-marriage counseling. We discussed many "marriage killers" before we ever got married. It has saved a lot of headaches in the last 10 years.

With such little detail that is a hard question to answer. How old are you? How many relationships have you been in? If you are not new to the dating front then it is possible that you have met your one. I do believe that when you know you just know. And if you know - why wait? Besides, you will have months during your engagement. I can understand your hesitation, but listen to your heart and try not to listen to all the nay-sayers who have never experienced what you are feeling. Good luck.

Uh, I guess it depends on the people, but I've always wondered... if you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, can't you wait a little longer to get married? You know, get to know each other, live together, develop goals and plans for the future. THEN get married?

For some people, yes. For some, no. I was surprised to find out my parents only knew each other for 3 months before getting engaged. For some people, they just both happen to know that it feels right. Others like to take their time with things.

yes really. I would say you need to get to know the purpose after all that rose tinted, lust filled period has gone. I've been with my bf for 2 yrs now. We have built up deep affection and love for each other, and he can still make me moist by simply looking at me or brushing past me. And I know that I don't even have to touch him to get him going - just a saucy smile will do.

Nope. As long as you understand that there are still things that you don't know about, that you'll find out in the future. You may like or hate those things, but as long as you remind yourself that getting married was your choice it will be easier to deal with.
