The countries of the West are not expressing a desire to wipe other countries off the map, or remove them from the page of time.
Western countries have offered to provide Iran with the materials needed for a nuclear power plant. This would allow Iran to use nuclear power for peaceful purposes, but they would be unable to pursue nuclear weapons. This is a fair compromise, but Iran has refused it.

No, Iran is a fundamentalist Moslem regime that doesn't value human life like we do. The USA has had countless nuclear weapons since WW2 and shows restraint in using them almost to the point of absurdity, whereas the day Iran has a deliverable nuclear weapon they will detonate it in Tel Aviv without hesitation.
