So many thousands of people have died, I don't see how anyone can classify it as "winning". But I get what you're saying. It will be radical islam. The reason is that we can't stay there forever. So whenever we leave be it 5 minutes or another 5 years, the clerics will twist it to their advantage saying look we expelled the infidels! The problem is that its an war with no clear "winning terms". Like WW2 is the perfect example. Go blow up germany and japan shut down the war machines, game over. Iraq....we don't know who's the enemy, who's just a person on the street.

There is no real winners here. Everybody loses in a war. The US and others will have a lot of graves and markers, handicapped veterans to care for and a huge debt. Iraq will be decades rebuilding to even a reasonable standard of living. Radical Islam will just be radical Islam, nothing more, and nothing less.

If wewin the war in IRaq, the U S has lost the most, not so much as in lives, but in the loss of prestiege and world confidence. Our allies lost faith in U S policy and it will be hard and a tough job in getting this back. We fought a holding war in Viet Nam, and camme out of there in a sorrowful state. If we must fight this war, then let it be fought like it was in WWI & WWII. An all out effort to win and rebuild later as we done in Japan. No wonder we are concidered a paper tiger.

We will not win the war in Iraq...we will have to pull out just as we did in Viet nam. it was a senseless, useless war to begin with and there will be no winners here.
unfortunately the losers are our wonderful American military, all those lost lives for nothing. It is so sad. Sad to for the thousands and thousands or Iraqi who have died and now have a country in ruins.
What did Bush think he was doing? How will he answer for this?

Iraqis that hate the US will have the most to lose, not necessarily radical Islam. I don't understand what the democrats would be losing (besides their favorite scapegoat).
