I prefer the appreciation for my answer but getting a best answer with a nice comment back is a great feeling. I'm only on Yahoo Answers to really share my opinion and attempt to help other people. I rarely ask questions.

Whoa, brilliant minds think alike. I was just driving home and thinking about posting this very question.
I couldn't care less about the points, but I just kind of feed off of getting best answer. There are even times when I won't post an answer to a question because I feel that someone else's answer was better than mine and I don't have a chance of getting BA. I won't lie to get it though. I know some people do that. Sometimes I even get my nose a little out of joint when someone else gets BA and I think my answer is better. 80)

I don't care much about the points,they are not a big deal to me.What I do care for is the interaction with others,that they appreciate my answer or maybe even find it funny or helpful at times. I am here to have fun and escape from the boring day to day.

Both. I rather have helped someone than to get 2 points but I like when the person picks me as the best answer. It makes me feel good.

I prefer the appreciation for my answer. A lot of the time, I'll shoot out the first answer I can think of, but for questioners that I know will read all of their answers, I really do take the time to think out what I want to say. I love making people smile with my answers, and it makes me smile when they consider mine best...especially when it's an answer I just shot out! I'm a krazy faerie like that... :)

of course the appreciation of the answer.
but again if u answered a qns for the fun of it, then it comes across as for the points.
and again, sometimes when u answered a qns that u totally believes can be up for the best answer or the most logical of all ans, but the asker chose the most siliest ans of all. then u will feel so frustrated.
