not likely. just because it is cold out, does not necessarily mean you will get sick (common folklore). I order to contract a cold or flu, you have to obtain the bacteria/virus directly from another individual or commonly used item (such as a doornob).

No direct connection. Fevers are usually the result of a germ that you get from being in contact with another person who has it, not from cold temperature. However, running around outside without a coat can weaken your immune system and make you more susceptible to catching whatever germs are making the rounds of people you're in contact with at work or in the stores.

If you got a cold / flu it's not from avoiding wearing your coat. Both are caught from an airborne virus. If you got a fever, then that's because of the dramatic drop of body temperature. Next time be smart and wear your coat!!!

Old wives tale. Getting cold or not having enough clothing does not impact your likelyhood of getting a virus or bacteria. Also very unlikely the virus you got was outside in the cold, more likely you got it from a doorknob or handshake with someone infected, or breathed in a sneeze blast you didn't see. I used to work outside all winter unloading trucks, just wore a vest and flannel shirt and jeans when it was down to near zero. Never caught any cold.

It could be a contributing factor. The cold itself doesn`t give you a cold but it lowers your resistance so that you are more susceptible to the virus. You cannot catch a fever, a fever is your body fighting against the infection. Hope this helped.

Probably not. You're more likely to have picked up your fever from someone who was ill.

I don't think so. It's not the cold that gets you sick. It is germs.
