does anybody know how much is the labor cost to replace a 4 cyl. engine?

There are a lot of variables there, such as: what make and model, what engine, manual or auto trans, equipped with power steering, equipped with a/c, etc. Usually 4 cylinders are easier to replace, so the labor will normally be a bit less. However, the more accessories, the more time it will take. Also, so cars have more room than others.
