Helen Mirren WILL WIN and DESERVES an award! I thought she was great right from her detective days.

Forest Whitaker's performance in Last King of Scotland was SICK, but also the best I've seen from him. He deserves to win the Best Actor award.
As for best picture, The Departed will probably win. There were many more films that should have been nominated, but weren't. Plus, Departed, albeit a great movie, was still a remake of Internal Affairs.

I'd say across the board that 'The Prestige' deserves a lot of things and it was never even nominated. Leonardo DiCaprio probably deserves an oscar, but not for the crappy Blood Diamond, he deserves it for The Departed. Apocalypto also deserves some recognition. I know Mel Gibson isn't too popular right now (and for good reason) but the film was a tremendous acheivement. the oscars never fail to dissapoint me.

I think Leonardo DiCaprio in blood diamond it was a great film & here is why:
I have just watched blood diamond & thought it was 1 of the best films i have ever seen, so sad to see what is going on over there & especially the young kids who they drug & train, i didnt relise that this went on & it has really made me think i will never buy a diamond & promote this if i could ever afford one, the film was so moving and i would recommed it to anyone xxxxx.
