There is no significance difference at the core. The Islamist Fundamentalists engage in more violence but that is primarily because there are far more Islamists in general in the world and because they on average are far lower on the economic scale than the Christian Fundamentalists. But the core insanity and lack of compassion for those outside their faiths is identical.

There is no difference.
Any religious fundamentalism is a bad thing.
Personally, I think religion is a bad thing too...
The religion was invented by kings and other authoritarian rulers to make a good reason terrorising the people ("In the name of God").
I reject Islamophobia, which I think it's a strategy developed by Christian fundamentalists to not think of Christianity's crimes.
A lot of people were killed before the new times (before 1800's) simply because they were considered "whiches" by some crazy Christian leaders.
Hundreds of years, people were terrorised because of them. This is the great history of Christianity.
Christian leaders always wanted to stop progress (female voting for exemple), but the progress is not stoppable.
The "Red scare" was (and is) a Christian strategy too.
They use the rich Christian fundamentalists to manipulate the truth, and saying nonsenses like "the former Communist states".
I sugest them to read Marx before saying that nonsense, because Communism is a society without any state (my writing at http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ai9fc7lu6aTZZ7kBas50MLPsy6IX?qid=20070215121257AAg5REy&show=7#profile-info-dc6f03711d96638409e00d94cac901e4aa
is explaining this thing).
The pope supported nazi Germany and Fascist Italy in the second world wide war.
State and church should be separated, and than after a time fundamentalism would disappear.
And one more thing --- Religion was also invented to manipulate the poor to not see what rich people are doing.
Priests were always defending rich people.

You are wrong. Killing is not taught in Christian churches EVER. Christianity is about love and not murder. Turn the other cheek. So far i have found the word peace 38 times and the word love 73 times I could look more but you wont care. Islam is about intolerance of others. Their Koran teaches it is good to kill infidels. There is no comparison. Your question was posed only to insult Christians.

One blows up cars in public places on a daily bases and cuts the heads off of kidnap victims on video and the other doesn't. That would be the largest difference. Your life would not likely ever be in danger in the company of Christian fundamentalists. Can you say the same of Islamic fundamentalists. They still stone women for infidelity. Has a Christian church ever done that.

To anybody with critical thinking skills, the differences are so great that this question is nothing more than a mindless insult of Fundamentalist Christians.

While their beliefs are similar and follow the same patterns, their actions are quite different. Muslim fundamentalists have many more rules and restrictions, and often use extremely violent measures to persuade others to follow their beliefs. While both sides are bad, and wrong in their ways of thinking, I do think the Muslims Fundamentalists are worse.

The difference is that one of the two groups doesn´t have the whole world (led by Dubya) raining down hail of wrath from the skies on them. And there were plenty of Christian fundamentalists that have committed atrocities, and I don´t even refer to the Crusades, I´m talking about discovering new land, and civilizations and crushing them for scraps of gold.
Or the great plains settlers who gave smallpox infested blankets and meat, and alcohol to the tribespeople. That is an atrocity too. But human thought doesn´t funcion in them all, we can just say. Bye now.

When is the last time an abortion clinic was bombed ? Didn't we put the perpetrator in prison ?
It's almost impossible to answer you, without asking questions !!!
How many Christians have strapped bombs to their bodies, walked into a crowded market place , and blown up everybody ?
How many planes have been hijacked by Christians ?
How many Christians are making IED's ?
How many Christians communicate to their brethren through websites that tell them to kill ?
Point is. . . there's NO SIMILARITIES WHATSOEVER !!!
