I try to use as little make-up as possible. I would like to make my eyes stand out the most. If there are any places that I "overdo" it, just let me know how I can improve. My picture is on www.myspace.com/abbistabbi view pictures and then make the picture bigger. Also any good ideas for fitting haircut(low to medium maintance, not too many layers) I appreciate all answers thanks.

I'm studying media makeup, and the first I know about it is that the camera does not see light like your eye does. You could be wearing a lot more makeup to make the picture look more natural. So I'm not even gonna look at your pic. To look natural on camera you will not look natural in person. So I'll just throw out a hand full of tips I've found come in handy for more natural makeup.

start with the skin, nice skin tone does the most for a natural look
-sheer foundation or just a light powder
-Blush that fits your skin tone, not heavy enough to tell your wearing blush (thats true of all of these if someone can tell within half a second your distinctly wearing a specific form of makeup your overdoing it a bit)
-a bit of bronzer does tons to give your face a nice glow like you've had a touch of sun. Usually worn on upper of checkbones, nose a bit on chin and along top of forehead along hairline.
-spot concealing, with either a good foundation or concealer only in the areas it is really needed

For your eyes you can go a little more extreme than with the rest of your makeup, you just want people to doubt for a second that your wearing any. Like the have to look twice to see that you are.
-eyeshadow. Use one the same tone as your to use as the base. choose one a lighter for a highlighter on the brow bone and inside corner of the eye-the tearduct (use one thats high in shine it brings immediate attention to your eyes!). Pick a color slightly darker for contouring usually done on the outer corner of the eye to slightly before the middle of the eye.
The eyeshadows can be shimmery or matte, but it is the color that matters. Golds, browns, creams, pinks are best, something that blends with your skin color/tone. I personally like golds with either a slight pink or brown tone that have shimmer. Physicians Formula carries a lot of those types of makeup

-eyeliner is usually not recommedable unless it is a subtle brown used sparingly. I would replace eyeline with a darker eyeshadow applied thinly like an eyeliner would be on the top and/or bottom of eyelid. It blends much more easily.

-Lipstick. Try a more peach like color (they're easy to find since they're very popular right now. A lighter color that goes on looking more shear is best. Then put a lipgloss either in clear a lighter color similar to the lipstick, to create a lot of shine and make lips look more plump. Or skip the stick all together and just use you fairly shear gloss.

I'm probably saying too much you already know anyway, So I'll end here. But I hope I said something that will help you out as far as the makeup goes.
