We call them taxis and/or cabs.

What you call a "lift" and we call it an "elevator."

theaters are cinemas
cabinets are presses
the mail is the post
sweaters are jumpers
gym shoes are runners/trainers
undershirts are vests
clubs are discos
jelly is jam
jello is jelly
poatoes are spuds
side walks are footpaths
the trunk is the boot
the hood is the bonnet
cotton candy is candy floss
trailer is a caravan
chips are crisps
fries are chips
pop/soda is like mineral or fizzy or god knows what u people call it!!
an apartment is a flat
someones house is their gaff
vacations are holidays
mondays that everyone has off are called bank holidays
vaccuums are hoovers
suckers are lollys
cell phones are mobiles
gasoline is petrol
we eat take outs, you have take aways
commercials are ads
hmmm cant think of more but that list can go on for everr!!
