Jane Eyre is a classic romantic novel in that a heroine must face psychological and emotional turmoil before she can succeed. The interesting element to the novel is that Bronte created a fictional biography, tracing Jane's character all the way through childhood. The anti-hero of the story, Mr. Rochester, does not appear in the novel until mid-way.

Jane Eyre and Rochester fall in love, but unfortunately, he is already married and keeping his insane wife hidden in the attic. He tries to marry Jane, but the secret is heartrendingly revealed.

You really should look to something like Cliff Notes for a synopsis of the story, but I've included several web sites to visit.

Have you read Jane Eyre? I highly recommend reading it as it's an excellent book and I think you would be surprised to find that you like it. There are also several movie adaptations of the book which have been pretty well done. The questions seem to be so expansive. Compare Jane Eyre to other books? It kind of depends on what other books the teacher is referring to. I would say Jane Eyre was probably one of the first to deal with issues of bigamy and the possibility of a young virgin staying and living with a man who was already married. It also includes the issues of mental illness and the consequences not only on the mentally ill person but those who are affected by the person who is ill. There are so many other issues you could probably include but it's been awhile since I've read the book so it's hard for me to think of them all. How the sense of the romantic novel was created? I guess it means how it was built up to? We start with a young girl who is a poor relation to her rich relatives. She is always blamed for her cousins' wrongdoings and ends up being sent away to boarding school where she is also mistreated. She makes a friend who ends up dying. When she becomes an adult she takes a post as a governess and that's where she meets Mr. Rochester. Mr. Rochester is rich and treats Jane with some disregard and yet there is something that draws them to each other and the more they talk together the more the two of them enjoy each other's company and Jane comes to realize that she loves him. I am totally clueless as to what the question Why it was chosen means. Why it was chosen as what? Since you have a deadline of tomorrow, I would suggest that you either (a) rent the movie or (b) read some cliff notes or spark notes. I've included a site for the park notes in the source box. I hope I've helped a little.
Vicky P.S. Do read the book eventually---you may like it!! :)
