Don't expect any favour out of turn which is the root cause of bribe and corruption.
Be bold to question irregularities/injustice or at least support those who question such acts.

We can only fight it by more and more efficient controls.
And huge money penalties and if they refuse to pay, then they must just stay so long in jail, till the penalty is paid or till the time passed in jail corresponds to the money to be paid.
But I don't believe that those who profit the most from corruption will agree to such laws and controls. An example: the law punishes as well the one who corrupts as well the one who accepts or requires corruption. I think that the one who is forced to pay and who denounces the act of corruption must go free. In that case only the one who requires corruption has to be punished. So at least a certain percentage, probably of lower corruption, could be avoided.
By the way, I think it is not possible to reduce sensibly the evil, and in this case the corruption, in the world.

To eradicate corruption we should punish those who receive bribery severely. Not only those who receive bribery but also those who give bribery should be punished severely. In fact they should be punished more severely than the other.
