i want to learn yoga, all the stretching techniques but without the mumbo-jumbo. tapes, books, or classes? all opinions will help

Not necessarily. It depends on the martial art, the athleticism of the individual and the level of commitment one has to learn yoga. I would say a ballet dancer or wrestler might have less of a transition to yoga in terms of flexibility.

Classes are the best, because then you can get personal help on the moves. It won't be mumbo-jumbo for long. I promise.

well, without ANYTHING helping you, it will be hard to learn anything. since no one can really explain yoga here. if you dont wanna buy into the tapes, just try to see if your library has any books with pictures, or an easy beginners video. i had some beginners videos that just go into the basic poses without goign into anything further. i'd try it though, its definitely worth it.
