very good question!!,,i know its very difficult to answer this.
See i am in class 11th and i've been through your age, so according to my experience, you should choose "Sanskrit".
This is because hindi is a language that you can learn easily by reading hindi newspapers etc, communication, but it is also necessary to know your culture, thin will be possible if and only if you opt for Sanskrit.
One more thing, when your hindi tests are being corrected,,you cant say whether the teacher likes your language , your words, your thinking or not. in this case, your thinking and creativity should match with that of your teachers'.so, i can say that hindi is not at all scoring in terms of exams.
But for sanskrit, you may be having anuvads and all,,these make the subject very scoring and you can score maximum.
Hey , im not forcing you dear, keep your mind calm and you can do it!! GO ON!!

Sanskrit learning courses emphasize the ease and joy of learning Sanskrit through an immersion experience, the enjoyment of making the sounds, fluently reading the original Devanagari script, and directly reading, chanting and understanding sacred literature.
The great spiritual language of the world" (Joseph Campbell)... one that supports the truth of the Self; "I, abiding in my own true nature." In this sense, Sanskrit, the language of yoga, is perfectly aligned with the model of yoga.

Hinduism and Sanskrit are inseparably related. Sanskrit learning, if it is really important for us, must be provided by those who know it the best.Depending on the student's interest and background, after 1-2 years of Sanscrit learning, the student should be able to translate and understand texts like the Bhagavad-gita.

You can score well in Sankrit at school level. Faculty is the best at any given school compared to Hindi. At college level there is no seccond language, so no fear, take Sanskrit and sure aim for a good scholar.

I think you must opt for Sanskrit. I am in class 9 tomorrow is my sanskrit annual exam and see I ' am enjoying the net and if it would have been Hindi I ' d have spent sleepless nights.
For Sanskrit you just need to concentrate in class and a bit of sincerity and just see your marks will surely be great.
hough it also depends on your ability to understand Sanskrit. You can talk to your teachers and yes don' t do anything for just your friends are doing.

It is completely left on you. Sanskrit is very good language. It will teach you many things. But it is not at all easy keep in mind. My classmates took Sanskrit last year. They scored well, in 8th standered. But this year in 9th almost half of the class failed in first unit test. But then also 21 students got full. It depends on how you study. Students think Hindi is tough, but I don't think so. Yes of course you loose marks in spelling mistakes. But you can write essays & letters as much as you can as you know hindi very well. You dont have to learn brief answers as you can write in your own words. I scored 80 out of 100 in full hindi If you are still confused then If your school has it take Hindi-Sanskrit of 50-50marks.

It depends upon your future planning. If you are interested in making career in literature i.e. sanskrit or want to go for higher studies like "shastri" or "Aacharya" in sanskrit, then opting sanskrit is good otherwise it is better to take hindi as for some specific govt. jobs hindi upto class 10th is essential.
