Evil exists for us to fight it and to show our strength and courage.

I believe evil exists because the human intellect cannot cope with it's own mortality. We are capable of traveling to infinity and beyond in our imagination, we can have a finite number of fantasies, but, when faced with the reality of our short stay on the planet, some of us "short circuit" and lash out. We are the only species on the planet that can kill or destroy without an earnest immediate threat and take pleasure at the suffering of others. There is no rehabilitating these individuals. Be thankful that we have laws in our society and there are individuals with the courage to do battle with these evil people.

Evil exists because we have the ability to describe something as good. Without Evil there is no Good and vice versa. It really is a point of prospective. You may thin something is good while someone else may think that something is evil depends on your point of view and personal morals.

Choice. If we had no evil than there would be no choice in life other than to do good! Everything would be the same if evil did not exist. Boring!

We all judge by relationship. If there was no evil how would we know what is 'good'? There has to be an opposite for comparison.

If all women in the world looked like models, we would find a criteria that would seperate the good looking ones from the ugly ones.

Short people make other people 'tall'.
stupid people make other people smart.
quiet people make other people outgoing.
the goodness on this earth makes bad people and things evil.

People like to talk about living in a perfect world without realising that we already are. If you didn't have opposites how would you know what you were missing? If you didn't have extremes how would you know what you were missing? You would basically be ignorant. There are most certainly more things in heaven and earth than we know but they will have their opposites and extremes too. We just keep on learning by experiencing more.
By the way papercut, the quote is " The love of Money is the root of all evil." I didn't know it came from the Bible but it makes perfect sense that it does.
No Fear.

It doesn't.

Good and evil don't exist in reality, at least not outside of the mind that believes in them. They are only judgments passed by the individual from their own unique perspective. What one person sees as bad or evil may seem to be the only logical thing to do from some other perspective. The ideas of both good and evil are point of view specific. This is why people like bush and bin laden are either loved or hated. Bush is seen as good by people who share his fear based thought system. Those who have a compassionate concern for all of mankind often see him as evil.

Bin laden is much the same. He is a villain in much of the western world, but he is somewhat of a celebrated pop star on the Middle East. There are T-shirt shops that sell items with his picture as though he was Jesus. It all depends on your point of view or perspective.

To sum it all up good is the name we give to people who do things that we think we like.

Evil is the name we give to people who do the things that we don’t like.

This is of course based solely on our particular point of view.

Evil doesnt exist and will never be.it s only people who gave him existence,by giving existence to happiness.
If people really believed that we can be always happy then they wont name happiness as it is a very normal thing, and always present,so what s the purpose from naming it?

There is no such thing as good and evil. They are developed by the human mind inn order to keep others and ones self under control.

Because good also exists. It is the basis of the Chinese idea of the Yin/Yang. For light to exist, there must also be dark, heat/cold, life/death and good/evil. To have one, you must also have the other.

it is not evil, it is misguidance. because at some stage, everyone was just an innocent baby that is full of goodness, but life pollutes that goodness, it's the things people face in their lives that make them act in an so-called evil .
