Sony S2 Sports Walkman NW-S203F MP3 Player: is the software that bad??

I really like the look of this walkman but my housemate and several reviews mention the bad software, that crashes, jams & is slow.
Is this problem old & resolved now?
Any experiences ??

its a good software, as long as the pc is powerful/ can run it properly,,, if it ever plays up, just remove-re-install it...
