Its paradoxical the way that the US "defends freedom" for the rest of the world, (since we're obviously not capable of doing that ourselves). Their nuclear armaments were built up during the Cold War, making them the most powerful nation in the world in military terms (weapons not man-power). They profess to attain reaching a goal of freedom and democracy throughout the world, however they seem to lack the understanding that democracy is not always the answer, and will not work for every society.

With the fact that they have so many missiles, bombs etc etc at the ready to go with the touch of a button and the turn of a few synchronised keys its very hippocritical the way that they expect the rest of the world to roll over and wait for its tummy to get tickled and let democracy run free. The US holds the world to ransom with its weapons (and economy usually too, even though thats about to collapse since noone wants to use the dollar anymore, its all about the Euro!), and EXPECTS complete submission. The message coming across is "you WILL have democracy and you WILL like it or else so help me i'll turn a knob and you will be destroyed".

Why on earth should the leading nation in the world and a spearhead of technological advancement force the rest of the world (especially the developing NIC countries and the OPECs) to accept the American Way Of Life? Personally I think they're just afraid of it all going askew. Its media portrays an image that every arab wants to be involved in terrorism, and would willingly die for the cause. Therefore its essential that its army goes and stops this and frees the people and then we'll all run through the fields because democracy is awesome. (!)

Basically it didnt work for Afghanistan, it didnt work for Iraq, it wont work for Iran and by the time it gets to North Korea reason wont listen. I can concur the idea that nuclear weapons in Iran wouldnt be the best for all (i'm looking at Israel here), but for the love of all that is right can we please have better evidence than absurd photos taken from space, obviously doctored to point it out.

"And when they got there, the stockpile was bare, and poor little Iraq got wasted anyway."

If the US wants to be our Official Policing Team then fine, let it run about and have its day (because every dog has one). But dont drag the rest of us into it and do it properly. Dont force the rest of the world into submission, because that garners you no respect. Try diplomacy, bribery, anything before sending your men and women out to die for a cause that some dont even support but they do it anyway because they're patriotic.

The US is not stopping nuclear programs, only programs whose government is intent on doing harm to other nations and are not responsible enough.

We don't tell everyone we tell crazy people to stop. The midwest is filled with hate-filled people that would love to have the intellagance to be able to send a nuclear missle over to the USA. Yet they can't but if we keep allowing them to progress they will soon be able to and then we are in deep deep trouble.

Because other countries tend to be more free about using them and making it known. The Us is not asking all other countries to stop--just the ones who deem to threaten other countries.
Would you think we were irresponsible if they actually used those weapons against us? Would you really call your country those things if we had to retaliate to save peoples @sses like yours--so you can try to diminish the respect for her? Good day.
