The attendance policy they have now is directed towards teenagers not for ones who really need to work. Recently I missed the birth of my first grand child due to not being to stay out. I had health issues and doctors notes were not accepted. The company allows you to be out for 6 days per year. If I would have stayed out to see my grand child born I would have been terminated. The policy they have now is directed towards teenagers for the ones that have to work like myself something needs to be change in the policy.

Walmart hires individuals because they need them there to work. If they're not going to be there, then Walmart doesn't need them. Six days of sickleave per year certainly seems reasonalble for me, for a part time job. You were NOT needed at your daughter's hospital stay....you could easily have visited when you were off duty. You've already used up your whole 6-day allotment, haven't you??!! Typicl American work ethics!

I'm not sure what you think posting this question here will accomplish. You need to bring it up with management within your company. For the record, Walmart is notorious for treating its employees like cr*p. Get a better job.
