Though there are many paths humanity can take in the next century, if we do not evolve beyond our petty hatreds, government corruptions, and monetary idol worship, we will surely destroy ourselves. I know that sometime within the next ten to twenty years perhaps sooner an event will occur that will forever change the way we think about our world, ourselves and our civilization. Causing many to redefine their role, and many to resist that change. This event will be so cataclysmic that all humanity will be effected. It will be an extinction level event and those who remain will be the progenitors of our new society. This event whether man made or natural will reduce the world population by more than half. This prediction is bases on the current state of affairs and the direction I see us going, as well as the nature of our universe and our ability to survive within it. All things change and it is up to humanity to discover the ability, reason and condition to survive beyond the next hundred years.

one area we need to understand better before we can populate there are the OCEANS.
I envision navy aircraft carriers after peace is declared to be connected to other carriers. This is because a catamaran or trimaran is the most stable vessel in the water.
They can be floating cities used for FISH FARMING; CARING for the ENVIRONMENT; keeping families closer together for the sea fairing population.
Tunnels and bridges will link North America across the Bering Straight to Asia and on to Europe. This will make travel and commerce accessable to more people.
We have the technology to create a global Garden of Eden ... we are just missing the right heart and attitude to live in paradise. The next 100 years will need personal / internal examination and developement
