her will named me as executor also the will gave devise and bequeath all of her property weather real personal or mixed,of whatsoever kind, and whersoever situated,to my son which is me. we are being told that i will need need an attorney to file any paper work if needed can i file this paper work myself?

Legally I believe that you don't need a lawyer because a will is a legal document and must be notarized but I would contact a lawyer in any case to be positive that ALL legal paperwork and ramifications are dealt with accordingly.

To my understanding, real estate is the only thing that does not just simply 'pass on' in a will. It shows the intent in the will that she wanted you to have it, but you must go get it & file the papers. I would most certainly get a lawyer involved so that it is done properly.

GET A LAWYER TO TAKE YOU THROUGH THE PROBATE PROCESS. IT WILL TAKE 9 MONTHS AND A LOT OF MONEY...
