It could be multiple things like gas, acid reflux and even a sign of gall bladded problems. But something very common is Costochondritis, an inflammation of the lining of the rib cage. This is usually brought on by caffeine, poor diet and stress & anxiety.
Journal your symptoms and see a Dr.

Sounds like the symptoms of a chest infection. If symptoms persist I would contact a GP but if it not causing you any discomfort other than when you hold your breath it may be muscular..

Unless you do some sort of sports like swimming why do you need to hold your breath? also one thing you may need to becareful of, which breast is it cus if its your left, your heart is around that area, don't mean to scare you but you may need to get that checked out, holding your breath means this would stop your blood flow, lack of oxegen to the brain that stimulates your heart. but if i was you i'd go and get it checked out an try not to hold your breath in the meantime!!

You could have stretched a muscle lifting or exercising or just being you. Try some advil or naproxen and see if that helps.

I had the same thing, and doctor told me it was a chest infection. Just take pain killers and chill. It will heal itself.
