August, 1999, Torun, Poland. I just liked the place. It looked nice, the people were friendly. After days 'on the road', it was good to stop. Have something more nutritious than bread and cheese to eat, wash my clothes. Wash my hair. Just sit in the sun. Take a moment to wonder whatever had possessed me to go backpacking, in the first place. It was good. One of those few places I've been to that I'd return to, if I had only six months left to live, so I could die somewhere nice.
There's been other times, other places, since then, of course, but that one does stick in my memory.
Where do I belong? Lots of places. For now, here.

My baby daugter (nearly 2) came to me with arms outstretched asking for cuggles. She'd had enough of rough and tumble play, plus kissies, with my older kids and I was on the net for a little while to interact with adult conversation....just answering on Yahoo Answers and my friends emails.
I put on her favourite song...Build me up Buttercup (something she learned actions to for the last x-mas childcare play)....and she held me tight....little legs wrapped loosely about my waist, both tiny hands holding my shoulders and patting my back softly, face snuggled into my neck. I played a couple of other songs (Britney, Evanesence, Goodrem),and sang to her while she drifted off to sleep. Heard my older kids chatting away and laughing in the loungeroom...as they watched OC.
I know very well where I belong right now....home, with my 3 beautiful children, loving them as they grow. I might wish for a lover......during times when I am alone but I know where I belong and need to be right now. Home is where the heart is...yes?

Depends on where I am. I fell comfortable most places that I regularly go so I feel like I can belong anywhere.
