Make a list if you want the points.

If the word 'worst' offends, think
'least favourite'
or possibly
'The hard working Thespian that could have possibly worked a little harder to sustain my interest and affection'.

OK

My all time favourites are (in chronological order):
William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, John Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant.

I do not have a worst Doctor Who actor. They were all brilliant. I did think Davison and Colin Baker got some very weak scripts to work with but I think they managed to turn something that could have been awful in to some very watchable TV.
I also think Paul McGann's Doctor was not shown that well in the one story he got but came across very well on the recent BBC Radio series he did (you can catch the final episode on Listen Again on the BBC website).

Anyway that is my opinion. I love the show and have all the DVDs, many videos and over 100 novels about Doctor Who.

The best show ever!

Oh yes, I forgot there was also Peter Cushing who played Doctor Who in the films who was good at playing the part of an elderly scientist. And Richard E Grant who played the cartoon Doctor on the BBC website. I thought both these actors were good but not excelkent in these roles. They are two of my all time favouite actors but not my favourite Doctors.

David Tenant
Chris Ecclestone
Peter Davison
Tom Baker
Sylvester mcCoy (and Ace)
Colin Baker
John Pertwee

I don't rate the others as I can't remember them.

1.4564765 minutes later - hang on, we were told TV Doctors only, that means as part of a series. Paul McGann (along with all his brothers) was brilliant but he was only the Doctor in a one off film for the Millennium. Peter Cushing was a master of whatever he touched but again, he was in the early films. I stand by my lack of rating excuse for Hartnell and Troughton though.

we watch the Dr who now and the Dr who's from the 60's 70's and 80's, the Dr who's from now are not a patch on the Dr who's from the past.

sylvester mccoy and colin baker should have been sacrificed - they were the pits... the up-to-date ones are fabulous but my all time favourite, the doctor of all doctors, for me has to be jon pertwee. My claim to fame for a long time was that he was in the room opposite me when I was in the Cromwell Hospital in Kensington.
