depending on how much work is needed it should be between 4 to 12 weeks and the cost can be from about $10,000 to $40,000 depending on the work that is done and material needed

No, but area builders would be more than happy to give you a free estimate. Make sure the competing bids are for the same things. Otherwise you may end up with the lowest bid being for only part of the repairs. If one contractor sees the need to do other repairs, make sure you have the other builder include these in the bid, or give a reason why it's not necessary. I would get at least 3 bids to compare.

Depending on the age. There's newer codes now that you will have to follow, ie the footers have to be 18" below the grounds surface (WV), so that might have to get redone. It's different for the region you live in. Call a contractor if you aren't planning to change the layout but rebuild exactly as it is, they will come out and do an estimation some do that for free. and they should be able to give you a time line also. If you want to add on or whatever, hire an architech, they will get the bids for GC.

Get bids on it. Most every contractor gives free bids. Draw up a contract so that all work to be done is understood by both parties. With the bid get an estimation of time to complete job.
The TTC can vary with supply of materials, weather, war, acts of god.
But get a ballpark figure of TTC and expenditures that is acceptable to both parties.
Get it in writing. Is the best advice that I am able to give.

How much money do you have to spend?
Have you ever watched trading spaces?
They tear down & rebuild in a week. But I would hate to have their budget. They use a lot of free help I think.
Get a good idea of what you want done & can put in to it & then check with a couple of contractors.
Unless you have deep pockets & don't mind throwing away a lot of money go for it.
Some times it might be best to just take it down & do it new.

Depending on how big the house is and what is inside the house on average it should take no more than a year 1/2.

It totally depends on the foundation structure it's sitting on. If the foundation is sound, the rest is easy... a month to 6 weeks should do it.
