Most people who claim it works wonders are typically the ones not genetically prone to get stretch marks.

My mother, my aunts, my sister, and my grandmother all got stretch marks because of pregnancy. I figured I'd try those products to try to prevent them. It didn't work.

That was my 1st pregnancy. I learned that I couldn't fool my genes into avoiding them so I stopped trying so hard. Sure now I'm in my 3rd pregnancy and already have my "battle scars" from the previous 2. I look at it this way - each one of those stretch marks are there and were my sacrifices for giving life to such wonderful children. When you think about it that way, it's a lot harder to be upset over them.

Yes they help, there is also a hard to find product called Mothers Helper, it smells like baby lotion and works great. I used both and didnt get any marks...except where I didnt use it all the time.

No they do not prevent them. It is all a joke. You will get them no matter what you use if you are prone to stretch marks. It is good to use them for itching and dry skin. But it does not stop you from getting them. Sorry. Good luck
