I had a horribly stressful weekend and yesterday my urine turned dark from a substance which appeared to be spotting.

This wouldn't be so unexpected but I haven't had my period in over 6 months due to my birth control pill.

Is this normal? Does it signify internal bleeding or kidney problems?

It definitely could signify a kidney or bloadder problem. You should have this checked out immediately. Obviously you should try to determine where the blood is exactly coming from first, but if you can't your doctor will be able to.

You could be spotting but it could also be a sign of a urinary tract infection. No pain while urinating? Any fever? Lower back pain? Drink cranberry juice or if you don't like it, drink lots of water. If it continues today, go to your doctor for a urinanalysis. Good luck!

Yeah, you need to get checked. If you're not eating or drinking like ususal, your urine can be darker just from being dry. But, blood in your urine can be an infection. Can't tell from looking, need to get a urine test.

I don't think so, but if you are that concern about it go and see your doctor, it could be just your period trying to come. and being stress can delay your period..
