it's different with every babies. i didn't have so much trouble with my eldest. my youngest 9 month old baby boy is more sensitive and is really giving me hard time especially at nights. what i do is i massage his gums with xylogel particularly 10 or 15 mins before he eats. i think that lessens the pain. it works for him. he's more peaceful and he can eat better.

There's no guarantee that it will or won't affect sleeping, all I can tell you is that it's a possibility. Baby Orajel has a night time pain reliever, it's just a little bit stronger than the regular stuff. You can try this if it is becoming a problem. Good luck! My daughter is going through the same thing right now.

I have a home remedy for ya as my 6 month old grandson is teething also. I use vanilla flavoring, coating his gums real good, whenever he starts to getting cranky and chewing on his fist. It works. You can also buy Teething tablets at your pharmacy or local grocery store. And don't forget the infant tylenol for fever.
