I just started selling jewelry and I'm trying to decide how to display. Are any background colors better than others as far as increasing sales, impulse buying??

I also sell jewelry. As far as increasing sales, impulse buying something in the red family would probably do the trick, however, you need to consider how well red (or any other color) is going to affect the look of some of your jewelry. If you take your cues from jewelry stores they display everything on cream, white or black.

If you are dealing with fashion jewelry colored backgrounds are probably not the way to go....it will distract too much from your pieces. I'd stay with cream, black or white.

I would suggest you add interest to your display with height. I made two "mannequins" from cardboard which I covered with fabric and I put shirts on and dress them up with the jewelry.

This does two things: Adds height and interest and that color you are looking for.....doll one up with a nice red sweater!!

Depends on the jewelry.
If just silver or gold, a deep blue looks good. Also is good for diamonds. White crystals.

But for colors and gemstones, the blue "eats up" the stone color. Special lights must be installed for them.

Keep the display case lighted up and in a light color. Then put some jewels in red to boost sale .

Well, with Emeralds maybe a thick dark navy blue. And for Pearls a light red violet. And diamonds a black shade.

No worries you don't need to see a shrink. Those ring don't last long and of course it could be that you got it wet. If you love the ring then get you another one someday.
