You should pay attention on that and if it doesn't go away go to the doctor.

I was supposed to be starting my period and instead, I was having this terrible stabbing pain in my sides. mainly my right, but some in my left as well, and It went on for about a week, and until I just couldnt barely do anytihng anymore, I decided to go the emergency room. They couldnt find anything out except that I was pregnant. And they did all kinds of tests. This also happened with my friend, who found out she was pregnant about 3 months after I did, the same exact thing happened to her. THe doctor said though, that they found a sist on one of her ovaries as well, and my doctor is going to check my gall bladder once I deliver too, because she's never seen such pain just from a pregnancy before.
Goodluck! And try going to the dr. soon if it doesnt stop.

Most pains on your left side and back could be a sign of a kidney infection. I would go to the dr. soon before it gets worse.

ok left side, but chest or stomach. If chest, see doctor ASAP. Moreover, if the sharp pains are also on the upper back (shoulder blade) , please go to your doctor now. If it's the abdomen, could be your stomach acting up, or like you said, your menstruation, well, can consider going to the doctor.
