go to start /all programs/accessories/volume control/check its not been muted / if everything OK go to control panel/ sounds and audio devices check every things right there

first try the speaker on something else like walkman compact disk etc. second if thay do work try to uninstall and install\update
the sound driver

If they are not broke, that means they are working.
If they are not working, then they are broke.
As said, be specific with what is happening and what you have done.

can you be more specific....what are your settings, did you just install a sound card, was anything done before they quit working?
