I recently went from a 94 Grand Prix (mid-size) to an 03 Corolla (compact). Living in upstate NY, our roads are not known for their smoothness. Since I got the Corolla, my ride feels so much more bumpy than before.

Can anyone else relate to this problem when going into a smaller car? Is it just that smaller cars naturally feel the bumps int he road more so than bigger cars?

I used to drive a Grand-Am and I now drive a Neon. It does feel different but there is a possibility that you might need a repair done. Have your suspension checked. You might need new shocks or struts. Worn shocks will give you a bit of a bounce when you go over bumps and worn struts will give you more of a clunking noise and feeling. Hope this helps!!!
