Just go to the hardware store and but the kit. It comes with the jig, bit, and corner chisel. It is easier, faster, and more accurate. Pretty cheap too.

When making a jig just remember to allow 1\16'' on each side for the Collet so over all 1/8''.......Jig is good if you are doing a lot of doors. if you are just doing one door, faster do do it with hinge butt marker and chisel............

Wal-Mart has a new jig Kit for this purpose made by "Black and Decker"

go to a hardware store, they would be able to asst you the best for this. You should not have spend more than $7 on one. as far as making one . . . good luck.
