That the New York State passed a law that says you have to be 21 to rent a hotel room and if so where can I find this law documented?

There are many hotels with a limit on age for the purpose of reserving a room...yes!

Some hotels require a minimum of 21 yet others with 18 as a minimum.

Though I do not find any particular "law" concerning this issue, I'd say instead of law...it was more of an "Industry Standard" employed by those providing the service.

Best wishes!

After several searches concerning your Q, I have found no evidence that NYS has such a law. Is it possible that a particular hotel chain or has this in its rules and regulations?
