My daughter is 7 months old and is chewing on anything and everything. However, she hasn't had any teeth come in yet. She's been doing this for about 3 months now. Is there a certain age that I should be looking for before becoming worried? I won't see her pediatrician again until she is 9 months old. I could always make an appointment if I need to...

I know how you feel! My daughter showed signs of teething around the same age, which is normal. However, as time went on, there were still no teeth, and still no teeth. I asked around, to get an idea about when other parent's kids started getting teeth, and they were all pretty much early or normal. However, whenever we were at the doctor for my daughter's regular visits, the doctor wasn't at all concerned about it. One day she told me, "I've never seen a child who didn't get teeth." I tried hard not to worry, and to be patient, which is hard, but there's not much else you can do. Low and behold, my daughter finally got her first two bottom teeth in around 14 months! I also heard that if a child gets their teeth in later, then they will all come in pretty quickly. Not hers! They've taken their sweet time, finally at 2 1/2 she has them all through, and is now starting with getting her 2 yr. molars in.
So rest assured, it is still early to be worrying about your daughter's teeth, or lack thereof. It could take awhile, or you could wake up a couple mornings from now and see a couple white spots poking their way up through her gums! There's no telling! I'm sure if it gets to a point where she is extremely late, the doctor will voice concern when needed. No need to worry just yet.

My son goes for his 9 month check up in 2 weeks and he hasn't cut a single too either.
Supposedly his dad was late cutting teeth too. It's nothing to worry about. When later cutters DO start to get teeth, supposedly the teeth will come in fast.. like 1 or 2 per week.
Don't worry :)

Be patient, mom! She's in the process of teething. Her teeth could come in around 6 to 10 months, so do not fear. Remember that every child is different and their development is not going to be on cue with all the books and manuals on rising children. Good luck and stop worrying!! You're doing great!

No she is just fine. My older two children didn't get teeth until they were 10 months old. There is nothing wrong with late teethers. actually they say that it is good because they will lose their teeth when they are older and will be easier to get out. My 12 yr old just lost his last one a few months ago. Well I hope this helps. Good luck.

Shes fine right now its not a worry at this age, all babies are different my little one cut her first at 9 months and has just got her second at almost 10 months. Some babies are nearer one before they cut a tooth.

well, this you don't have to worry about most babies teeth grow slower than others. what i suggest you to do...while she's chewing on everything...you should get a teething ring...the jelly kind their better because...it helps grow the teeth faster...i have a nephew he chews on almost anything....but you gotta stop that...i know she'll cry but you gotta do it so she won't stunt the growth of her teeth. you know?
