How many of you type with one finger?(me for a start!)and is this why you don't give long answers?

I actually type with 2 fingers both index fingers, I've tried typing with all fingers but I always mess up that way, I can still type as fast or faster than most people

I type with all my fingers, although I don't tend to use my little fingers very much. I am a self taught typist. Most of my working life was working as a data input technician, so I can type at quite a good speed.

i do but i never took pro classes like my sister at school. She always makes fun of the way i type and it is sooo annoying. My mother does the one finger thing too, she recently starte using both hands to type instead of just one. I have to say that was THE funniest thing to see. Can you even imagine how SLOW that was???
I mean when she was using MY computer i would have to wait HOURS...alright so I exagurate alot but it was still funny..
Is that long enough? cuz im getting pretty bored

touch typing is the only way to go !!....place your hands on the keyboard..fingers on left hand on a s d f.....right hand fingers on...j k l ;.......practice for a while..mmm..about a week by only using these fingers to type the letters and your thumbs for the space bar only....after a week, close your eyes and type....when you get the hang of that, in about three months, you will be able to type purely by letting your fingers do your talking..no thinking about letters to make words....you will think only of the word and your fingers automatically go there...touch typing..WAY TO GO !!

No I touch type. Which is rather strange because if u asked me where the letters were I wouldnt have a clue but I can just type and my fingers know!

Only use one hand if the cat is lying on the other but I am still a search and hit typist; have a vague idea where the letters are but still after years, I still don't get where the letters lie exactly and have to look in the direction of where my next letter will be. I don't trust my fingers!

I dont do that, but i don't touch type though. I have my own weird method of typing that i've made up myself. i seem to mostly use the 1st 2 fingers on each hand and sometimes the third fingers. anyone who can actually touch type would probably be horrified to see me do it, but it works relatively well for me :D
on the subject of people who type with one finger, my dad is one of those people and it pisses the hell out of me! hes so incredibly slow it infuriates me to watch him attempting to type!

No, I can touch type but I do work with a couple of people who finger type and they can nearly type as fast as I can.
