Also are they clean?

I was told there was a shower block there. It is supposed to be solar powered and breaks down if it is too sunny or not sunny enough.
I was also warned that it was unisex but my friend did not actually go inside so I would like to know what they are like inside.

I don't know - when I were a lad a Music Festival was something kinda anarchic and alternative - we were going to see bands, meet people from all over the country, and stagger to the doughnut van through clouds of sweet-smelling smoke.

Showers? Wait till it rains, or, alternatively, after the festival you can take shower at home after hitch-hiking.

Today, people seem to expect hotel treatment at festivals - cash machines, five-star toilet facilities........ is this mud organic?

Festivals were good before they became commercialised.

The showers at Glastonbury directions for use

Wait until it rains (shouldn't take long)
Take your clothes off wherever you are.

End of instructions

(They are therefore open plan, mixed gender and communal. It's a festival in a field, what were you expecting?????)

They ARE open plan, communal, and mixed gender.

open plan = stand in the rain
communal = everyone is invited
mixed gender = you might end up standing next to the guy/girl you moshed with at last night's concert and bumming a bar of soap

I think there are some. There were rumours, but I've never actually seen them. All I heard was that the water is cold, straight out of the tap and there's usually a hell of a queue.
