Strawberries and sour cream. A waitress at the I-Hop in Timonium, MD introduced me to the combination many years ago. Now most of the I-Hop waitresses . . . not to mention all the others! . . . look at me like I'm funny when I order it. But it's great! The sour cream cuts the sweetness of the strawberries and it just all goes together wonderfully! I, too, thought she was nuts the first time she asked if I wanted whipped cream or sour cream . . . but don't knock it til you've tried it!

My grandma made the best homeade preserves.
Strawberries, rhubarb, cherries .
She also made her own spiced sausage patties.
