It depends which program you are using to play the movie. Some programs have a 'Screen Capture' facility that takes a screenshot and saves it.

If you're using Windows, under accessories there is a program called Windows Movie Maker, where you can load any video and capture still images and turn them into pictures. Its a very easy program to use.
