Global warming is the observed increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation. Models referenced by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) predict that global temperatures are likely to increase by 1.1 to 6.4 °C (2.0 to 11.5 °F) between 1990 and 2100.[1] The uncertainty in this range results from two factors: differing future greenhouse gas emission scenarios, and uncertainties regarding climate sensitivity

Global warming and the depletion of the ozone layer are two different issues.

There are a number of greenhouse gases, the main ones being carbon dioxide and methane.

An increase in the amount of carbon dioxide and other green house gases leads to heat from the sun being trapped in the atmosphere leading to an average world wide temperature rise. Some parts of the world may actually become colder.

Plants and the oceans have soaked up large amounts of CO2 in the past but as the large forested areas are shrinking and the oceans become saturated the increase in CO2 in the atmosphere is accelerating.

Warming is causing ice sheets all over the world to melt exposing land which absorbs heat from the sun and adds to the warming.

It has been agreed that humankind is the major source of CO2 but there are other sources such as volcaones

There are lots of good sites out there.

Well, Global Warimging is the proccess in that we roduce so much carbon Dioxide or other harmful gases. and when these gases are realeased they float up and up and up, until the come to the ozone layer in the atmosphere. Then the Gases attack the layer and gradually make it weaker until there becomes a hole in the layer. The largest holw is over antartica. but many are located elswere. The reason that you can tell is the tempeture expansion range in the past 30 years or so it makes so much of a hole that it lets the ultraviolet rays from the sun directly hit the earth. it can also cause skin cancer. which explains the rise of caess in the past years. greenpeace should give you even more information!!! hope i could help!!!
