You can wear dresses all you want to.. IF you are prepared to be heckled. You have to be aware of the risks, and once you know whats coming, you have no room to gripe because you knew ahead of time what the results would be.
As for myself - I could care less if you wore a dress. Just DON'T be sitting or standing anywhere near me when you do.
A compromise would be to wear a MANLY Scottish Kilt. You'll still get a few stares, but nothing like if you wore a woman's skirt or dresses.

Men are definitely allowed to wear skirts - well "kilts" in Scotland. And in my personal opinion, I think men would look great with skirts and should wear them. But I guess I'm the only kinky weirdo that likes crossdressers... it also beats me why most people shriek at the idea of men in skirts, heels and make-up.

Men are allowed to wear skirts. Its just that they risk being beat up by other men when they do!
Seriously, we have a society in which (for some reason) women want to be more like men yet most men (other than you, it would appear) don't want to be more like women. I guess it is just the natural evolution of penis envy over the years.

Yes, it is illogical.
It is also illogical that other men seem to be threatened by this and may inflict violence on other men who wear female clothing.
If you have an interest in experimenting, search the Internet for a crossdressers club, where men wear female clothing in private and without fear of outsiders.

I say go out buy a kilt and let it ALL hang out. Men are to afraid of what others may think or they would wear what they darn well please. So hey go out there and be all that you can be!! ;)
