Do I have to keep my movies on my computer hard drive once I load it onto my Ipod? My laptop has 9 gb of movies on them and now , when I use the Airvex program that reformats and copies my dvds to ipod format, what used to take 2.5 hours per movie now takes 8. Any suggestions? Thanks

Plug in your iPod. Go to the "Summary" tab if you aren't already there. On the bottom of the page, there are four checkboxes. Check the one that says "manually manage music and videos." A pop-up will come up. Click "OK." Now, click "Apply" on the bottom of the page. Now, you can manually add and delete items from your iPod.

If you manually manage music and videos, you will not need to keep the movies on your hard drive. However, I would keep them if I were you. Unless it's really hogging your computer's hard drive, I don't think it'll be that big a deal keeping it on your hard drive.

If you want to allow syncing to still happen, then yes, you will still have to keep the movies on your computer's hard drive. If you delete it from your computer, iTunes will say that the movie cannot be found on your computer and it will automatically delete it from your iPod.

Good luck!
