Yes--but hey can't close it--there is a ski resort there and they don't have the resources to close it and keep climbers away. These are alpine climbers who start climbing at midnight to one in the morning--they take their lives in their own hands. If they were to close it--it cost much more money from the government--as it is they only have two rangers who work around the clock. So, if these people want to go up and climb they have no choice but to let them--it's also a national park--it's too bad that this happenes and the rescue teams have to go in and cost money--but hey--rescue teams are rescue teams for a reason--they have job to do--climbers need to use their heads and judge more acurately when they shopuld climbe--look at the forecast a day ahead--although it is unpredicatble on mountain.

And just how do you propose they do that? Put a fence around the mountain, border patrols along the fence?

Do you really want to place the government in charge of deciding what is and is not too dangerous to attempt for EVERYONE?

Personally, I like to make my own mistakes for myself, I learn better that way.

No, don't think it should be closed...if people are stupid enough to risk their lives when bad weather is coming in ... well...
