I usually just rip them off--and then the little plastic pieces are still left in the clothes lol, I just figured out what was itching me inside my new gloves.

Sorry about the little plastic parts..yikes. I usually cut them out, but if I can't find scissors, or don't feel like trying, I just rip them out.

I rip them for the most part & then try to find all the little hidden parts. If the item is expensive, I cut them.

I trim them off now because one time I ripped them off and ripped clear through the shirt.
