This sounds really silly but i have never been in a John Lewis, is it a bit like Debenhams where they sell different brand stuff eg. Debenhams has a topshop, jane norman and warehouse. Or do they just sell there own stuff?

John Lewis sell different designers as well as their own however House of Fraser have more brands. I haven't been to John Lewis in a while so that's all I can remember.
They also sell furniture, fabrics, kitchenware, jewelry, make up etc.

If it is women's clothing you are mainly wanting then I think you may be disappointed in JL. Certainly online they tend to have their own brand except I know they sell Levi's and Seven jeans.
They are great for just about everything else though! There are very few John Lewis shops around unfortunately but their online shopping service is second to none.
Of their shops the one at Bluewater in Kent is v. nice as is Peter Jones in Sloan Square in London.

John Lewis and Waitrose supermarket are in same group. They are both on-line and have many super stores. They sell everything for the home , clothing and personal items. Prices are usually a little higher, but quality is high standard. Enjoy!

They are just another department store. They sell clothes, furniture, crockery etc. Considered to be a cut above the rest apart from Harrods.

Their shop isn't all that.....up to date shall we say...
Not topshop or anything like that, more grown up stuff...
Sell them on eBAy if you don't like the look, there's quite a good market for vouchers
