I would say at the rate they are going about 60-80 a month. Lets calculate that Bush last month will be January 2009 so that is like 23 months 1380-1840 more dead troops.

The toll will continue until a sufficient number of Americans oppose the continuation of the sacrifice our troops are making. I received this note from my son today. He is a generals adjutant, and as such attends all of the funerals for the troops who have been killed in Iraq in this Generals Brigade. This note brings home the impact this war is having on the families of our troops who are there fighting and dying in a failed conflict imposed upon America by the current administration.
Dad,
I'll be traveling on the 24th. With luck I'll be home by the early afternoon. I'll be returning from Boise and the third of three funerals for reservists who were all killed in the same IED blast on the 8th. The first was Saturday. It was a real hear breaker. The kid had turned 22 only week before he was killed.
I'm heading out tonight for the second funeral tomorrow. Will come home tomorrow night, then fly out again on Thursday.

You know if you pull the troops out and leave the country go the terrorists are going to just rise up again. You have to think of it like an abandoned house.Over time it isn't bothered and noone pays attention to it until the rats (terrorists) get bad. Then you have to call in an exterminator (U.S. troops) to get rid of the rats. Now if the exterminator only gets rid of the big rats that are easy to see and leaves then all the little rats that were hiding that he didn't see grow up and more join them. Now you have just as bad of a problem as before but these rats are mad because you tried to get rid of them, now they're worse and you've got an even bigger problem. So before the little rats grow up the exterminator needs to stay and make sure he gets the little rats too.

Well first it's not only Bush's problem. It's called terrorism. Our brave soldiers are protecting cry baby people back here in the USA. I'm glad they have the courage to find the terrorist. Some people only complain about there leadership while others lead. Thank you President Bush for standing your ground and not being a coward. Last, thank you brave troops for having our backs. I slept well last night knowing your our finest. Unlike the chickens that sit here and criticize you. Amen

Both sides of the aisle voted FOR the war, so how is it now "Bush's war"? I guess Kosavo, Korea and World War Two are all "failures" since we are still in those places for many more years.

We are not failing in Iraq and the rest of the Middle East. We are finishing what we started.
You need to support the troops instead of whining about the war. They are fighting for us wether you believe in the war or not.

As long as there is still more war profiteering to be done, troops will die for the Republic's bank accounts.

SO, you've been there huh? I just returned last fall. Lets see, we freed 35 million Iraqi civilians from one of the worst and most brutal dictators in history. W neutralized Hussein's regime and eliminated Al Qaeda training camps throughout the country. We have helped the Iraqis build the new hospitals, bridges, roads and infrastructure. UNBELIEVEABLE FAILURE ISN'T IT??? DUH
