Ideally, you should gain about 25 lbs (a little under 2 stone) from your "ideal" weight. If you were a little heavy before you got pregnant, then you should gain less....if you were fairly thin, you should gain more.

Still, every woman, and every pregnancy, is different. Your body knows better than you do, and sometimes even better than your doctor does. Your goal is simply a healthy mommy and child.

Hi there! I gained 14 pounds total with my last pregnancy. It really depends on how much you weigh before you get pregnant and how fit you are. If you are eating well, and your baby is growing, it's nothing to worry about. If you have 14 extra pounds mostly in your belly, sounds perfectly fine. :) You should be happy that you won't have any to take off after the baby comes! I think you'll probably gain 4-5 pounds in the next 8 weeks. Congrats! Good luck! **My doctor would be so proud of you! He hates to see me gain more than 1/4-1/2 pound a week, and I am at a normal weight.**

If you were average weight for your height before you got pregnant, then it's considered normal to have gained between 25 and 35lbs by the end of the pregnancy. But some women will gain more, some will gain less. You'll most probably gain a pound a week from now until the end of your pregnancy, so you'll have gained around 22lbs in total by the end. As long as your eating right don't worry!

Compared to my pregnancy, it sounds normal. I know many people gain more weight than that, but some don't. I only gained 16 pounds throughout my pregnancy, like you said, all the weight was my belly. I didn't gain it anywhere else. With 2 more months, you can still gain, especially towards the end. But you also may not. Either way, you are fine, as long as your doctor isn't concerned. Mine told me when I wasn't gaining enough, and told me what to do to help it. In the end, I had a healthy baby, not quite 6 pounds. But I'm also a small person myself, so it was no surprise.

You should gain a total of 20 - 35 lbs when pregnant......You are lucky you've only put on 14 lbs (wish I could say the same for me...lol). You can expect to put on about 1 pound a week at this stage in your pregnancy. So I guess I'd say about 8 lbs.

It really depends on your body how much you will gain, but this is the time when you will gain most of your weight. At least that's what happened to me. The most your suppose to gain these days is said to be 25 lbs. I on the other hand had a 8 1/2 lb baby girl and gained 40lbs. And i was not lazy like you thinkl i would be. I guess it depends on how big of a baby they are guessing that it is.

It's possible to gain another 16 pounds in the next 8 weeks. Just try to manage your weight.

Ah, I think it's just terminology. I mean technically it is pregnancy weight, although you gain in when the baby is inside you so you COULD call it baby weight. Although most women are struggling with the extra fat after the baby has been born. So that's referred to as maternal fat stores. (At least according to the pregnancy books). I must be bored too if I'm thinking so hard about it :)

That is pretty good so far. I weighed 120 before i got pregnant and i gained 92 lbs with one baby and i am back down to 130 lbs. Most of mine was fluid and baby weight. Some of your weight gain could be fluid and you will probably retain more fluid closer to your due date.

It depends on your starting weight. If you were in your healthy weight range to begin with (BMI of 18.5-24.9), you should gain 25-35 lbs. If you were overweight (BMI of 25-29.9), you should gain 15-25 lbs. If you were obese (BMI of 30 or higher), you should gain no more than 15. If you were underweight (BMI below 18.5), you should gain 28-40 lbs.

At your stage of pregnancy, you should start gaining a pound a week.
