A knife, a survival handbook and a fishing kit.
I think fairly self-explanitory. In time if I could survive, I think I would enjoy living on my own. Away from the nastiness and greed the modern world promotes.

There are three types of geometrical shapes that formulate the structure, the function and human existence in the universe. One is circle, or sphere, the second is square and the third is triangle. The entire universe is physically assemble into existence by simple architectural spherical design, like formation of soap bubbles, and circular movement or planets, for example, round stars. Then we recognised our life through our purposes. We perceive east, west, north and south, which gives us our sense of direction; with this knowledge incorporated into our mind, we feel purposeful and secure. We always feel secure in square houses, and seldom we build something that is circular in design for u to permanently live in.
Now, the third geometrical shapes, the triangle, is most interesting in human mind. Triangles with three corners and three sides are not found in nature but are contrived by human ingenuity, where square represent purposefulness, and circle unification of the that purpose round one singular point as centre, triangles represent transcendental element in our thoughts.
We see the ancient pyramids are triangular with a square base, as it they point to something, and indeed they do. The spire of churches and minarets of mosques all are elevation of triangular shapes at the top. The symbolic meanings of a triangle go even deeper into our existence. If for example I meet with another person then we will have between us something that was nowhere in existence before, and that in due course will assume an entirely new course in our lives. Triangle with its three sides and three corners in this sense is something that represents between people and that in ideal case need to be perceived, identified with a purpose and elevated.
The experience on a desert island would be a lonely very experience. The need to have some other person would be the need to realise the meaningfulness of life - the third and transcendental element. This is why three is most often used in adjective formations for a noun, three wishes, three world, and of course three things that you would choose to take with you on a desert island.
The hypothetical situation that this 'offer' creates in the mind reminds us of that aspect of our mind that we often fail to see in the world we have. The concept of island isolates the mind for new thinking, the loneliness make us feel deprivation that we do not feel in the middle of our indulgent lives and three things make us think about our need that have extended too far out. The question can be asked why not just one thing, two things or more than three, why they have to be three, what is the secret, when there is not any? If I retire to a deserted island I will take with me integrity of my mind, purpose of my thoughts, or sense of direction, and hope to transcend and get out of my dir situation one day.

Hmm.
A thick leatherbound book. (To write about my adventures using charcoal in the burnt out fires.)
A puppy. (For companionship and a hunting guide.)
A knife incapable of rust or becoming dull.
Everything else I think I could make or live without. Who needs boys when you have a puppy!
