what is subscription renewal?
i keep getting a message that i have to renew my subscription for my norton antivirus. do i really have to buy the subscription?

Yes. Norton has a year of "free" Updates. After this subscription period you must pay for another period of updates.

Try switching to a free Anti Virus solution like Aviras AntiVir. Its free as long as you use it for noncommercial purposes.

If you want the new update's.. yes will need to renew your subscription..

You have to pay for more service. It's like renewing your subscription to a magazine to keep receiving it. My suggestion is to remove it and get AVG free.

you will need to renew to continue recieving updates and definition files etc... for norton, you will pay for yearly subscription
well worth it to be protected

if they are sending you this message that means that the one that you have expired and you need buy the new one in order to keep your antivirus updated.
