i have a disk to reinstall ME but i cant open the door. i can only use that drive to do it.my computer is formatted and i have a start up disk to boot it up, but my F drive wont open, and my E drive will not let me reinstall windows.

There should be a small hole in the front of the drive. You might have to maunually pull down the little part of the door to see it. If you stick a paperclip that has been straightened you should be able to stick that in and get the door to open.

You might have to move the paperclip around until you feel something solid to push against it. It is the mechanical latch insiide the drive.
Yes, unless the drive is really messed up, the paper clip trick will work. Why do you think the manufacturer left the little hole ther? duh

That paperclick thing didn't work when I did it a while back.
